Check This Out...
Who Are We ???
Well a few of you this weekend wanted to see a picture and bio of us posted (not sure why) so being your humbled servants here we go. ==>From Left to Right ... Janet Campen , Jennifer Socorro, and Samantha Gielow.
JANET...
Janet is married to an awesome Christian man, Jeff and they have two children, Jazlyn age 9 and Angelina age 3. Their family have been attending Flamingo Road Church for 8 years and she has served in the preschool ministry for all of those years. She was saved here at church and now is dedicated to serving the families of Flamingo Road Church. Life change happens here, amongst community and new found family. Janet has always wanted to be in the middle of that as a mother, sister and daughter of a Most Powerful God, to be used in a way that will grow the Kingdom.
JENNIFER...
28 years old with a wonderful 10 year old son I've been attending Flamingo Road for the past 2+ years. Saved on June 5, 2005 (can remember the moment like it was yesterday) my life has been forever changed for the best. I immediately began humbly and wholeheartedly serving the Lord at Treasure Island where I met wonderful friends who mentor, hold me accountable, and help guide my walk with Christ(Thanks Mel, Shannan, andJanet). It is my passion to serve God with all I have and partner with others to reach their God Potential. There was a time I didn't even think God could love me but He proved me wrong and hopefully by helping to minister here at Flamingo others can find the HOPE and GRACE that was so freely given and shown to me. Oh and yeah, I am the unmarried one but am truly in love with our God and all he has done and yet to do.
SAMANTHA...
I am a 21 year old christian wife, and mother! Life could not be sweeter! I am married to an amazing christian man and we have a precious 10 month old little boy, Jayce! We soon hope to build our family into the next 'Brady Bunch' and raise up at leaset one pastor to take over when pastor Troy leaves! My husband and I were baptised together on June 10th, 2007 and I have been a member of FRC now for 10 years and have loved every minute of it! I am here to serve my awesome God, and to raise up little people to know that God loves them!
And so you don't feel left behind our Captains will be nominating a volunteer each month to be highlighted on this page so tune in for October's Volunteer of the Month...don't know what a Captiain is ??? well there will be a post letting you know... coming to a blog near you.

What's Happening at Flamingo Road Church ....
Hello Everyone... Time to get out your pens and paper our lovely Director (who was awesome on stage this weekend) is about to give us the scoop on this past weekend and things to come this Fall you won't wanna miss...
Hi Family,
A lot is happening here at Flamingo Road Church. I want to keep you updated on changes coming up this fall.
Beach Baptism was a huge success, but we know because of the weather they may have been several that didn’t show up at the beach. We are going to open the Cooper City baptism in the courtyard on 1st Wednesday, October 3rd. Following the service you and your family will have the chance to be baptized here on campus. They have worked very hard to complete the courtyard and we are ready to go on 1st Wednesday, so if you haven’t taken the dive, I strongly encourage you to follow the steps that Jesus has placed before us.
Trunk or Treat is going to hit the streets of your neighborhoods. With over 170 small groups at Flamingo Road Church, we want to leverage our influence with the community and keep things changing and up to date. This year Trunk or Treat will be held at individual small group host homes, located all over our community. There will be party held at Starbucks on Stirling and Flamingo where the worship guys will be playing music and hosting games for all the trunks to tune in wireless to participate. (Same kind of idea from the My Naked Pastor launch party). There will be 5 themes to choose from to keep us all aligned.
There is still a lot of fine tuning to happen but I will keep you up to date, they will be printing yard signs for you to put up in your lawn starting 3 weeks before Trunk or Treat. It’s going to be great to connect with people in your community and leverage our influence to build the Kingdom.
Christmas Express will be held at the Cooper City campus this year, to accommodate the size of the event. We will have in December 8th (Saturday) 100 kids from each campus community will be nominated. Melissa Nadlman will be heading off the event, we plan on having the shopping in the student building, wrapping in the Dive and we will need a ton of volunteers.
Mynakedpastor.com has brought 1,000 new people. How awesome is that??? We need to pray for Troy through this process, it is very hard on him. Let me challenge you to log on daily for either the morning devotional at 5am, the lunch time prayer meetings at noon or the naked couch at 8pm every day. Log on, post a message to help support Troy and all watching. Also, if someone posts a message asking a specific question that you know the answer to, please it will help Troy if you would post the answer to those questions. He really feels a responsibility to answer all the questions that come in and if you could help him that would be great!
I am so honored to be in ministry and to do life with you, thank you so much for your prayers and support of Treasure Island.
Your Sister in Christ,
Janet Campen

Cast Off

One of our lovely Captains, and dare I say Best Small Group Leader EVER, wrote the devotional below.
Take some time tonight and just rest in His word. As we have been challanged lately to get "naked" and be authentic read the devotional below placing pride aside and go to your Heavenly Father...he is waiting for you.
Thanks Roslyn for being such a great sister in Christ and helping all of us to continue and reach for our God Potential...
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 55:22
Parenting can be hard. It takes every ounce of energyto keep up with all the duties of being a parent. God lets us know in the Bible that we don't have to rely on our own strength. If we are feeling overwhelmed in life, God tells us to cast our cares on Him and He will sustain us. God gave you those beautiful children and He will give you everything you need to raise them successfully in a godly home.
What care do you need to cast on Him?

Baby steps...
Well It's about time .... The Preschool Ministry is joining the Blog world. Yep even the toddlers know what is going on in cyber space. This will be a great way for all of us to be on the same page with what is going on at Treasure Island. I am your host, Jennifer Socorro, Volunteer Coordinator for the most ROCKIN' preschool ministry EVER.... Thanks to all our volunteers both during the week and on the weekend. We had over 500 preschoolers campuses wide and to think a year ago we were praying to break 300... God is so good ...
As we continue to grow, this blog will hopefully help to bring us all together on what is going on in our ministry and at our church. Feel free to reply and let me know your thoughts, in the spirit of our NAKED CHURCH this is an arena for volunteers, parents, and babies (if they can) to communicate. So on your mark, get set, let's plant those seeds ...
